Blank Journals

I finished writing in my little Canada-hoodie notebook last night, which I will post pictures of soon. I’m trying to decide which book to start writing in today but it’s causing me dilemma. Here’s my current crop of blank notebooks that are yearning to be filled.

I'm not really sure how much I like this book but I decided to include it in this post, nevertheless.

I hope you all take this as a prompt to post pictures of your own blank journals you have sitting around your house. Maybe the community can help you decide which book to use next!

Perhaps one of the new old stock of Longmeadow Press blank books?

One of the Paperblanks journals?

Or one of these beauties from Laughing Elephant Press. What do you think?

ALl of your journals are sooo excitingly pretty. I especially like the ones in this photo: http://arliss.livejournal.com/pics/catalog/369/160701 and would love to see the middle one a little better some day!

If you're still chosing, my preference would be the feather journal. I'm a floppy romantic that way. *g*

Here's a better look at the Celestial Planisphere, traveler size (5x7), lined, by Paperblanks. Front and back covers are the same.

It's discontinued now, I've had it for "a while." I went through a period of buying ALL the blank books--I'll never fill them all. And choosing a new one is fraught, with such a wealth to choose from. If you're searching for one like, I'd suggest ebay.

Oops I meant the one between the two that are laying flat on the table, not the middle visible one but thank you so much that one is quite lovely too. I love anything star/space/celestial/universally related, omg.

I ended up using the owl journal but I think the feather one will be next. I have been filling up books fairly quickly lately so I am sure it won't be long before I move on to that beautiful feather book. (Oh and it's so lovely to the touch, wish I could convey that through a photo.)

Thanks for the suggestion of buying out of print notebooks on eBay- I never thought of doing that and instead always buy whatever I can get my hands on, on sites like Amazon and Overstock.

Here is the only place I can find it still on offer online, but the website gives dimensions and details:

http://www.jasesbooks.com.au/ccart/paperblanks-journals/pocket-companions/cocoa-maxi/prod_274.html#.Ujpbzj8Unwk

The notebook is also available in mini (3.75 x 5.50) in several colors on this page:

Having the actual search terms can be helpful. Good luck!

Cool!! I really like the second one with the red binding and flower that you said you're not sure you like. I think that one or the purple feather one should be next.:D

As for me I currently don't have blank books lying around. I haven't been journaling regularly so it's taking forever to fill the book I'm on. Might get a new one soon though. I'm starting to feel like getting back into daily journaling again. :-)

I hope you get back into journaling again. I fell out of the habit when I was sick earlier this year but now I am right back into it, writing almost every day, some days pages at a time. It feels so good to have an outlet again.

I never thought of writing in a cash record book before, but the regimented crisscross sing lines really appeal to me, as well as the old fashioned sensibility of the pen and paper record of something so practical, now that these pieces of everyday paraphernalia a being replaced by the Internet.

I highly recommend trying out a cash recorder or a graph paper notebook. They are so much fun to work with. I hope you give it a shot and post pictures of your results.

Thanks so much for commenting.
