Oh yes! I am certainly ready to start a new journal. I am wrapping up my current journal - a vintage scrapbook - that I have kept for the last six months filling it with drivel about my broken relationship. So this new journal, this new year will be FREE of him.

That's how my journal will be for me too! I've unloaded in my current one about relationships gone by and now with the new year comes a new beginning and new freedom... I once saw a movie called the Holiday and when she's tossing out her ex-boyfriend she says "I have a life to live... And you're not going to be in it!" That's what my next journal will be, living my life free of the tears and pain I expressed in my current one.

This sounds so good!

I wish I had done the same after one of my most heartbreaking relationships. I think it would have helped me to resolve things better within myself.

Good for you for doing this!

I still have about half of my current journal left so there's no way I'll fill it in time, but I'm very tempted to start a new one on the 1st Jan anyway! I got a lovely Hobbit moleskine for Christmas and I really want to break it in...

ooo, I think I saw those Hobbit moleskines --- so pretty! I can imagine the temptation to stop with the current journal (I had to force myself to keep going with the one I wrote in for 2013) but I don't like abandoning journals - I've only ever done it twice.

I use a day-to-page Moleskine journal each year (basically because it keeps me disciplined into writing something for each day so I don't leave blank pages), and I'm looking forward to starting the new one - partly because it will be all fresh and new, and partly because it's purple. ;)

I had to rush myself and get help from a couple people to get me to the end in time before midnight. I was determined to be done with that journal. I hope you made it in time!

just started a new sketch book yesterday
I don't keep strictly by calendar -my books just go on and on and... like life
But it seems nice now thatt I'm through the holiday stuff to be in a new space in a new book
Blessings all

"Like life" - I like that.

Some years I get to start fresh and other years I'm continuing with the same one from a previous year.

Hooray! I am hoping so for me, too. I've missed writing in my paper journal more.
