Do any of you guys use La Pens?

Do any of you guys use La Pens? I'm thinking about grabbing a set but would like to hear from people I know what you think of them instead of just reading reviews. How do they compare to Pilot Precise V5 as far as bleeding through pages?

Edit because I'm such a dork: I guess they're actually Le Pens and not La Pens so hopefully you can avoid looking silly like I just did!

I like La Pens. I don't think they bleed too terribly. And especially not on the pages you use typically. My complaint with them is they get used up fast. Mine last only a few long entries before the tip is rubbed down, making it almost useless. They just don't have longevity. But the colors are beautiful, and it writes pretty smoothly. But I typically get them as an occasional treat for myself rather than a constant journaling tool.

Thanks for the info. I don't want to spend all that money on pens that get used up quickly so I think I will stick to the Pilot V5 Precision. Those don't really bleed either and have a fine tip and come in array of colors- and I've had one remaining V5 pen for TEN YEARS NOW so I know they don't dry up quickly. I do wish the V5s came in beautiful colors as the La Pens do though. >.>

I agree with savanahjann. I love the colors and they write very well with minimal bleeding, but they don't last long enough for me. Plus the way I write, I guess, seems to push the tip back into the pen after a few entries and I have to hold the pen at a tilted angle to get it to write. But even with the annoyances, I still buy them occasionally as gifts or a treat to myself. :) I just wouldn't use them exclusively.

The color is pretty gorgeous indeed but I really like longevity in products that cost so much so I think I will pass on these pens for now. Maybe some day I'll get a sample or something or maybe I'll buy a single one directly from their site but I just can't justify the price for pens that will run out quickly no matter how beautiful they are. Thanks for stopping in and telling me what you think about 'em!

Hallmark stores sell them by the singles. $1.99, I think. :)

Oh if you want to see how bright the colors are, the main birthday entry in my last post was wrote with one. :) it was dark blue.
