End of Year Survey

Does anyone else do this? Just an end of year list of questions, a review of your year?

I've done the same one since 2008, and don't feel like it suits me anymore. I'd love to discover a new way to explore the year I'm leaving behind as the new one is ushered in.

Year in Review Pt. 1

1.What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
4. Did anyone close to you die?
5. What countries did you visit?
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
9. What was your biggest failure?
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
14. Where did most of your money go?
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?

>Part Two:

24. What was your favorite TV program?
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
26. What was the best book you read?
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

29. What did you want and not get?
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
34. What kept you sane?
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
37. Who did you miss?
38. Who was the best new person you met?
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:

That's it. More or less. I did make changes to it through the years. Combining questions from other places. I know looking at it, it seems wonderfully comprehensive, but I think I've just done it for so long that I'd like to change it up.

Any ideas out there, fellow journalers?

I love this - thank you so much for sharing this - although some people share end of year reviews in my Friends List, I love there are more questions in this! Also, I don't usually write anything like this in my paper journal but I have a lot of pages to finish so I'm considering it, though I'll probably post it in my online one instead. This is great though, thank you!

This is the one I did last year (altered date for this year):

1) Where did you begin 2014?

2) What was your relationship status by Valentine's Day?

3) Were you in school anytime this year?

4) How did you earn your money?

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?

7) Would you relive 2014 over and over again?

8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?

9) Did you know anybody who got married?

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?

11) Did you know anyone who had a baby?

12) Did you move anywhere?

13) What concerts/shows did you go to?

14) Are you registered to vote?

15) Do you still have the same job as you did in 2014?

16) Has anyone betrayed you in 2014?

17) Where do you live now?

18) Describe your birthday?

19) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2014?

20) What has been your favourite moment?

21) What's something you learned about yourself?

22) Any new additions to your family?

23) What was your best month?

24) Were you in a relationship this year?

25) What music will you remember 2014 by?

26) Who has been your best drinking buddy/buddies?

27) New friend?

28) Favorite night out?

29) Would you say you've changed since the beginning of this year?

30) Do you think 2015 will be better or worse?

That's a good survey.

I used to only do these online. But originally, I switched to paper for the reason you stated: it took up pages. :) now they have become a regular thing in my journals.

THANK YOU for posting this! I've been looking for some since I usually just make my own every year but I wanted to try to find ones that were already made. i also plan on doing some prompts to wrap up my year of journaling.

Here's a link to one I found yesterday.

I like that your list covers many bases, so I used it for my year in review. Thanks for sharing it!

I might steal/rework this. I do a 'favorite days' kind of thing, but I like the idea of a more in-depth end-of-year survey!
