End of a journal...

I'm just about at the end of the journal I started on March 25 of this year. That's a bit over five months. I'm really surprised that it took me this long. I've been really consistent with my entries, having written almost every day. (There were about twenty days when I was traveling, so those entries went into travel journals). Still, it's not that big of journal. I have been adding pictures, mostly small LG photos and cutouts from old magazines and they don't take up that much space. And though there are a lot of the "yesterday was a really long tiring day" kind of entries, there are also some very long, multi-page entries which provide solutions to so many of the world's ills. :) And then there were a few ink disasters on the pages, but again, they didn't take up too much space. For the most part, it's just my writing.

Sometimes journals seem to last forever for no real reason. Other times they fill up really fast even though it seems like you're hardly doing any writing at all. At least that's my experience.

What is that on the page in your last image? A leaf?

That's a big ol' blotch of spilled ink. I use fountain pens (usually in bed, with the notebook propped up on my knee at an angle. The pen lost its flow so I gave the piston a little twist and ta-daah...ink all over the place. I love your interpretation of it as a leaf, though!
