Finished Current Journal :)

Hey everyone!

So I usually just lurk, but I thought I'd post some of my finished journal and also the new one I've just started so you guys can see :)

I apologise in advance - my iPhoto is ridiculously cranky and will not rotate photos as it doesn't register it as a change. So I'm sorry they're the wrong way round :(

But first! I did an exchange of sorts with the lovely yummee_pie and took a couple of snaps of what she sent to me :) Thank you so much Berry, I hope my parcel to you arrives soon and safely! :)

Okay, so here's my old journal:

Tiffany Magnolia Cover

It's a Paperblanks Tiffany Magnolia one and I cannot even express how much I love the paper inside. It's SO smooth to write on and there's very little (if any) bleeding through. Honestly I recommend these so much. They're quite expensive for notebooks, and it depends on how much you write and whether it's worthwhile to invest in them, (I had eighteen entries in mine, it lasted about three months, but I think I write and stick in a lot!) but the paper quality I just haven't found anywhere else, even moleskine!

Etsy Note
I stick things into my journals a lot and I loved this, it was a little note I got from an Etsy shop owner :)

Line's Note
And one from a Storenvy owner :)

Sigur Ros!
I got to see Sigur Ros last year and they are my favourite band, so it was pretty amazing! I was so so happy that day :)

Haha, I stick stickers in when I've done something good, and this day, I had avoided a GIANT trigger that could have set me down a really bad road, so I decided I got to have a whole PAGE of stickers xD

Good Things
I try to have a list of "good things" every day. At least three. I've been slacking lately but I am going to get back to it :) Each "good thing" gets a sticker. It's a good incentive to look at the brighter things in life, I recommend everyone do it! I know Alex Wolff from here does - it's basically the same thing as gratitude lists!

You Are What You Drink
Just an example of how my journal tends to look :) I usually start off really neat and then it just gets messy. Sooo, sorry it's messy!

This journal shuts with a magnetic fastening, but if you're like me and stick things in, it just won't close after a while. Finished thickness:

Filled Tiffany Magnolia :)

Okay, now my new journal!

New Journal!

Back Cover

This one is from IKEA :) I love IKEA and their range of notebooks. They're pretty inexpensive and the paper quality isn't great, but I don't mind as I feel this notebook looks kind of old fashioned, so I don't mind the show through or the crinkling of the paper as much as I would have had this been my old journal, as it kind of just adds to the vintage feel.

I hope you guys liked it!

Jadie xx

What a beautiful journal and such fun pages! I put notes and letters in mine as well and I totally know what you mean about the magnetic closure not working anymore when it gets to a certain thickness, I have a few journals that that has happened to. I love that you reward yourself with stickers!! That's something I do as well (I put mine on calendar but I like the idea of them being in a journal much better!) and it makes me so happy to see them.

Enjoy your Composition Books, I was very happy to be able to provide them :3

Awwww I'm so glad you like it! I love everyone else's journals so much (especially your sketches of yourself, they're so adorable!) so I thought I would post mine too ^-^

Stickers as rewards are the best! If you don't already, you should definitely try it :D Oh I just read the rest of your comment and see that you do it! I encourage you to put them in your journal as well as your calendar :) :)

Thank you very much for the composition books and stickers! I just hope your package gets there soon and safely <3

Thank you, dear! Avoiding triggers for me is very hard, I am only just now learning how to do it and how to say "that is a trigger, I will not let it make me tie myself in a knot' instead of saying "omg a trigger, now I need to work out yet another convoluted mass of messy notes over analysing this"

Ooh I absolutely love that journal, both the design and your work inside! :) I also do gratitude-type lists in mine, I really like the idea of using stickers with them too! Especially as I have a habit of buying stickers and then hoarding them...

Hi there! Oh thank you so much, that's so lovely of you to say! Stickers are great, they're so pretty to look at and make really cute little 'rewards' for having a good day or doing well. Plus they're quite cheap so it's nice to have a big choice without a big cost to go with it!

Take care! <3

JAAADIEEE you are amazing and I love your handwriting (as always) and the vintage-y journal is so pretty! Keep journalling and posting :)

Awww baby!! That's so sweet! And hehe I love YOUR handwriting! I think that we have quite similar handwriting in a lot of ways (though yours is more fabulous and loopy/easy, mine tends to get really strained!) I am just about to start a new journal (the one I began here isn't finished but I feel like I have to have a new start, so hopefully it'll help me spring clean my head!!)
