I don't normally use journal prompts, but The Journal CEO recently shared a good one that got me to write a few pages in my journal last night. The prompt was:

List 5 memories of your childhood summers.

I wrote as many memories as I could recall in one sitting, and even now just thinking of my summers growing up I am thinking of several more memories that I am going to write about tonight. I encourage you all to open up your journals and do the same the first chance you get.

I would like to share a few things from my list with you all, without any of the detail as I shared in my actual journal, of course.

  • Catching capelin and whale watching on the beaches of Newfoundland.

  • Berry picking, hiking and cliff climbing.

  • Going to the swimming hole with my friends.

  • A certain boy who filled my summers with laughter.

  • Learning about bioluminescent plants & animal organisms.

  • Town celebration days.

This is exactly what I needed! Thank you, E! :D
I've been trying to think of topics to make lists on my listography account but I just couldn't come across a prompt that got me excited about listing.
And this is a perfect one.

    1. The feel of jelly sandals on my feet

    2. Trips to my father's hometown

    3. My father's childhood home with the Spanish patio and arab tiles as floors

    4. Waking up at 7am to watch cartoons

    5. Being picked by my father and put on top of statues so parents could take a photo of me
