A recent Journal

Here is my most recent journal. It is a Paperchase one A5 sized.I bought it because I liked the narrow lines and on the whole I've enjoyed it. The downside has been the huge spiral ring in the middle which made the left side of the page difficult to write on so I ended up covering most of the left side pages until the middle of the book. It also had a really horrible squirrel on the bottom of each page that I also felt compelled to cover. I've 18 pages left so in theory it should last until the end of the month. that is if I can resist the lure of the shiny new pages of my next journal. All picked out and ready to go!

This is beautiful <3
That quote "It's good to moan" - love it, can be interpreted in so many wonderful ways.
You have lovely hand writing.

I find my journal a great place to moan. Then I can be all cheery in the real world. Thanks for handwriting compliment. I used to have more ornate handwriting but I've had to modify it over the years because I work in a school!

I love your posts (so much text & pretty images & yay!) but I noticed that you try to do the lj-cut tag at the start of your post - but it doesn't work. Now, personally, I don't care if people use lj-cuts or not (scrolling doesn't hurt me one bit!) but since it honestly looks like you're trying to use them, I thought I'd give you this FAQ link that shows how to use them properly -> http://www.livejournal.com/support/faq/75.html Hope that helps! Super in love with your posts & journaling!

Ooh prettiness, thank you so much for sharing. What's your next journal like?

I love your handwriting and I love the regularity of every left hand page being cut outs, etc.

It's good to moan!

I like your pages. They're a nice combo of writing and art.

I didn't know Paperchase made journals with spiral bindings. I have one but it's a sewn binding. I will have to take another look next time I go to the store.

Thanks for kind comments and thanks for link to doing LJ cut- I'll try it next time.I'm pretty incompetent with technology so apologies for my error.

I try to get most of my images for nothing so I grab every little brochure, magazine, flyer or leaflet that I spot. I also scour charity shops for old postcards and vintage type ephemera. I bought a big bundle of Psychology magazine at a car boot sale and use images from those a lot.

I am about to start a Paperblanks journal- much smaller but a gift from a dear friend so I feel I must use it and embrace the challenges of a small journal!
