Hello my darlings, it's been a very, very long while!

I'm afraid I don't have my usual plethora of images to share, but perhaps in the new year I will have the time to curate some highlights of the past couple of years? It was all a bit of a whirlwind, especially the final year, my fifth in Japan. I came home to the UK in August, and my adventure took up a grand total of twenty-nine journals!

All but three of my journals from my time in Japan (three are in shipping boxes on their way back. At least I think it's three; it might be four...). It adds up to 28 books - that's a little over five a year! #jetprogramme

These are my journals of 2016, and my new book for the start of 2017, which I have been setting up in. 2016 was a heck of a year. I visited two new countries (there are separate travel/food journals from my Malaysia/Singapore trip inside the black Hobonichi cover that I HAVE to share with you guys!), moved back home after five years on the other side of the world (as I mentioned!), finally achieved my N1 Japanese language proficiency after self-studying since I was fifteen. I also visited eighty two of the eighty eight o-henro (buddhist pilgrimage) temples in Shikoku, the island where I lived, and met some amazing people along the way, including a guy who slapped Power into my shoulders.

And a little, less-blurry peek at the insides of the new journal, by nuuno, which I have been fanatically prettifying. Does anyone else here use nuuno books? The paper quality is a-ma-zing and there are TONS of pages, but I'm not sure yet how well it's going to hold up to my terrible penchant for sticking stuff in.

Setting up my new journal for the new year! #journal #diary #bujo #planner #stationery

Hopes for 2017 - work! I've been home and jobless since 2017 and I've been missing my life, my friends, and my KIDS in Japan terribly! And once I have a new job, I can buy myself a bookshelf to fit my journals in! I also hope I can share with you guys a lot more than I have been :) I hope you all have a fantastic new year, and all the best wishes for 2017 <3
