THANK YOU to whoever it was that let me back into the community. I was trying to rejoin since not long after I left (who knows how long ago that was) but my cries went unheard. I tried again today and hooray! I'm back in. Thanks again!

So, I know that people drifted from LJ but from what I can see on YouTube & Instagram (& so on) journaling is doing well with communities that have developed and are flourishing. It reminds me of the enthusiasm that was once here on LJ - not just for our own journals but for communities like embodiment.

I'm on paper journal number 42 right now. I'm mostly a text-only journal person but the previous one was puffy with pastings from newspapers and the like. Looks like I'm going to keep doing something like that, though with a bit more writing. I'm also trying to type 750 words every day to get a writing routine going again. I write differently in my paper journal than I do online. I suppose that's not unusual.

I still write for myself whether it's for an LJ post or my paper journal, but I'm walking a line when I know that some of my paper journal might be shared in videos I make for YouTube. It's not censoring me but it might have influenced my recent decision to start picking clippings and images out of newspapers - likely.

Well, this was just a quick thank you & hello. Hope you're all doing well!

Poll #2079356 are you journaling?

It's 2018. Are you keeping a journal / diary / notebook / scraps of paper with words and/or pictures?

Thinking about it.
It's complicated. I've left a reply in the comments.

I still journal daily and post my journals online. If anyone wants to see my stuff you can Google "The Nerd Journals" to find my various things.

It's nice to see you here goldmoun. :) I'm on something like journal #42 myself.

I hope everyone reading this is doing well.

Hi kinston! I watch your videos on YouTube! You're one of the people I journal along to when I'm watching journaling videos on YouTube. I don't comment much but I like hearing how people are doing with their journals. Great to see you!

I wonder how you got locked out of embodiment since I am the only persons who posts here the last couple of years. Weird. I did not lock you out. There must be someone out there controlling this site. I wonder why they or it let me post all the time and not shut me out.

Re: embodiment
hey there,

No one locked me out --- I had stepped out of the community after feeling a bit frustrated that no one else seemed to be doing any moderating at the time --- it was exhausting and I had other stuff going on as well that made me step away --- but of course, I missed being in the community soon after and wanted back in (knowing I wouldn't be a mod or anything, but at least a member) but no one let me back in. It wasn't until today that someone approved my request to join. (I'd re-request every now and then to re-join the community.) So no one locked me out, it just took until today for someone to let me back in!

& thanks again to whoever did so!

Re: embodiment
I still post regularly in Paperexpression-we got to show/prove the world one can keep a diary every day- it is easy as making an apple pie-all you got to do is write a few words on a piece of paper and put it in a folder or write a few words in notebook and you got a diary going-simple.

Hello again! I, too, have been away for a spell. I’m been so wrapped up in things analog. Of course, paper-journaling is part of that and I’m still going strong.

analag things are awesome so totally can understand that.

hooray for still paper journaling. I think that I'll keep doing it until I can't anymore.
